Stages to a complete design project

We can provide a service for just virtual product development providing imagery & video for investor communications
  • Definition of complete project, what the client wants from the final result

  • Finalising sketches or design elements from different sketches or examples

Steps To Fabrication

Sketching - 5 to 15 versions, 1.5hrs per version.

Rough shapes are created to show a representation of the final product / project based on practical constraints.

In-House 3D Printing, Rapid Prototyping 2hrs per model

Potential designs are then prepared for 3D printing. This stage gives a good tactile feedback and is used for fit-checking.

External 3D Printing, Final model check. 8 Days 

This is the last stage before volume production. Outsourcing 3D printing allows the use of the latest machinery to show almost finished detail.

Short run fabrication, CNC machining or Injection moulding. 20 Days

  • 25 CNC machined parts - a low risk option to generate interest in low numbers
  • 25 - 1000 injection moulded items can be produced as a short first run for initial delivery.
